Reading The Quran - Page 8

August 25, 2007 I read the book of Furgan the 25th book of the Quran.
This book like many books before it pleads with man to follow Allah and tells of the rewards for following and the consequences if you don't.

I found no teaching of hatred, or killing in this book of the Quran

Quran Reading

August 26, 2007, I read the book of Shu'ara, the 26th book of the Quran.

I found nothing new, or different about this book. It repeated what most of the books of the Quran have said. If you removed all the repetition from the Quran it would be a very short book. At this point the books have less and less verses. I'm glad, because I have 88 books left to read and the repetition is not interesting.

Reading The Quran Islam Studies

August 27, 2007, I read the book of Naml the 27th book of the Quran.

I find this book not at all different from so many before it. Another writer saying the same thing as so many writers before him.

Page 8 Quran Reading

August 28, 2007, I read the book of Qasas the 28th book of the Quran.

This book starts with a story about Moses and in the 49th verse sort of wanders away from the story into praising the powers of Allah for the last 40 verses and leaves the story of Moses hanging unfinished.

Quran Reading

August 29, 2007, I read the book of Ankabut the 29th book of the Quran.

How many ways can you say Allah is great? Different writer, same thoughts in a different order. The pure, endless, repetition is boring.

Reading Quran - Page 8

On September 5, 2007, I read the book of Lugman the 31st book of the Quran.

I am 31 books into the Quran and find it so far to be what I was told, a book of peace. Is it possible then, if the Quran really is a book of peace, that the next two verses are speaking of those who kill and maim innocent women and children with roadside and suicide bombs in the name of Allah? Is it possible that there won't be 72 virgins waiting in heaven for the Islamic extremist?

QUOTE
Quran
31:6 But there are, among men, those who purchase idle tales, without knowledge (or meaning), to mislead (men) from the Path of Allah and throw ridicule (on the Path): for such there will be a Humiliating Penalty.
31:7 When Our Signs are rehearsed to such a one, he turns away in arrogance, as if he heard them not, as if there were deafness in both his ears: announce to him a grievous Penalty.

Reading Quran Studies Islam - Page 8

On September 5, 2007, I read the book of Sajdah the 32nd book of the Quran.

Repetition, repetition, repetition.

I found no teaching of hatred, or killing in this book of the Quran

Since it was not yet bedtime I kept reading the evening of September 5, 2007. I read the book of Ahzab the 33rd book of the Quran. I have finally found what I assumed would be in the Quran. A direct order from Allah to seize and slay without mercy. It doesn't matter who these verses are talking about. The practice was approved of Allah, but a kicker was added that made it alright forever.

QUOTE
Quran-Ahzab 33:62
No change wilt thou find in the practice (approved) of Allah

Now let's put it into context, so it can't be mistaken
QUOTE
Quran-Ahzab
33:60 Truly, if the Hypocrites, and those in whose hearts is a disease, and those who stir up sedition in the City, desist not, We shall certainly stir thee up against them: Then will they not be able to stay in it as thy neighbours for any length of time:
33:61 They shall have a curse on them: whenever they are found, they shall be seized and slain (without mercy).
33:62 (Such was) the practice (approved) of Allah among those who lived aforetime: No change wilt thou find in the practice (approved) of Allah
.

My guess is this won't be the last order for humans being....slain without mercy. I found the teachings of Allah included the order to kill without mercy in the book of Ahzab.
