Reading The Quran - Page 9

On September 8, 2007, I read the book of Saba' the 34th book of the Quran.

Repetition, repetition, repetition.

I found no teaching of hatred, or killing in this book of the Quran

And since it is still early and there are but few verses I will read the 35 book of the Quran, Fatir.
I have long thought that when the very first verse of a book starts with great praise of Allah the whole book will be almost a carbon copy of all the other books except Yusuf-Book 12.

QUOTE
Quran-Fatir
35:1 Praise be to Allah, Who created (out of nothing) the heavens and the earth, Who made the angels, messengers with wings,- two, or three, or four (pairs): He adds to Creation as He pleases: for Allah has power over all things.

QUOTE
Quran-Saba'
34:1 Praise be to Allah, to Whom belong all things in the heavens and on earth: to Him be Praise in the Hereafter: and He is Full of Wisdom, acquainted with all things.

QUOTE
Quran-Ahzab
33:1 O Prophet! Fear Allah, and hearken not to the Unbelievers and the Hypocrites: verily Allah is full of Knowledge and Wisdom.

Now read the first verse of Yusuf.
QUOTE
Quran-Yusuf
12:1 A.L.R. These are the symbols (or Verses) of the perspicuous Book.

I keep hoping to find at least one, or two more interesting books like Yusuf, but at this point, 34 books of the Quran are so repetitive that you only need read one to know what all the rest say.

I found no teaching of hatred, or killing in the book of Fatir, the 35th book of the Quran

I have been to my eye doctor again. My eyes are fading fast with cataracts. I will do my best to finish the Quran before I go for surgery, but if I fail I will return to this project after surgery. If I don't return you will know it is because I cannot see.

Reading The Quran

Thank you Vincenzo. At this point (so far) the Quran is all sweetness, light, and worship of Allah, but I'm still guessing I will find the violence I believe must be there. It's either in the Quran, or a hand full of Muslims are reading a lot more into the book than is written there. Which ever way it goes there will be a full report at the end.

On September 18, 2007, I read the book of Ahqaf the 46th book of the Quran.
I found no teaching of hatred, or killing in this book of the Quran

On September 18, 2007, I as I was reading the book of Muhammad the 47th book of the Quran and I'm actually sorry to say I have found what I was sure would be here.

QUOTE
All religious quotes are from the Quran
47:3 This because those who reject Allah follow vanities, while those who believe follow the Truth from their Lord: Thus does Allah set forth for men their lessons by similitudes.

Since I had never heard the word similitudes I went directly to the dictionary. I feel that to really understand the word I need to include two other (similar) words.
QUOTE
Random House Dictionary
Sim-I-lar = alike in a general way but not exactly
sim-I-le = a figure of speech in which two unlike things are explicitly compared, as in "she is like a rose"
si-mil-I-tude = comparative resemblance

It would appear that the writer Muhammad has decided not to wait for Allah's threats of hell when you die, but hurry things along by taking Allah's threats into his own hands by helping you die.
QUOTE
47:4 Therefore, when ye meet the Unbelievers (in fight), smite at their necks; At length, when ye have thoroughly subdued them, bind a bond firmly (on them): thereafter (is the time for) either generosity or ransom: Until the war lays down its burdens. Thus (are ye commanded): but if it had been Allah's Will, He could certainly have exacted retribution from them (Himself); but (He lets you fight) in order to test you, some with others. But those who are slain in the Way of Allah,- He will never let their deeds be lost.
47:5 Soon will He guide them and improve their condition,
47:6 And admit them to the Garden which He has announced for them.

It does not get plainer than that! Terrorist have not been turned loose on the world by Allah, but by a revelation to Muhammad. But since Muhammad's words are written in the Quran, and Muslims follow the teachings of the Quran, what else are we to believe? That one fact places all Muslims under suspicion no matter how they protest. I'm going to guess that this is not the last order to terrorist to kill and maim innocent women and children, so I will continue to read the Quran.

Reading Quran Studies Islam - Page 9

After nine pages of reporting it seems like you have made a breakthrough. I believe I read somewhere that these verses coincide with times when they had to defend themselves in war (like the permission), so I believe you will start to see more of these verses.
