Reading The Quran - Page 13

QUOTE
If the English translation is so pitifully inept, then why translate it for millions of English speaking people to be led astray. Your argument does not hold water.

The English translations available are only a starting point to understanding the Quran. The same applies to the Bible or any other scripture. Technical details and indepth interpretations require expertise. It is at this point that the humble person will admit his/her inability and defer to an expert or someone more knowledgeable. Unfortunately mousetrails you have demonstrated time and time again and especially in your book "The First Holy War" that:

1. You do not have any appreciation of linguistic and interpretation complexities of scripture.
2. You do not seek out expert opinion, instead relying on your won inadequate knowledge.

QUOTE
I am wasting my time and my effort because I can never win in your eyes as long as I don't speak Arabic.

Isn't it ironic, I am being preached to about the Quran, a book I have studied my whole life, by a man who read it once and thinks he is now qualified to interpret.
