What do you people think about that story today where a Bandit With Toy Gun who tried to rob a store was shot in the head by the proprietor? It is only later they recognized that he had a toy gun according to TV6 News. Do you think the bandit deserved what he got?

Well, the proprietator shot him in the head with obvious intentions of killing him, the bandit also had a knife. Anything could have happened, I don't doubt for a minute the bandit would have used the knife to hurt someone...he got what he looked for. This is absolutely getting like the Wild West with thieves entering stores at 11:30am in plain main road! See JB it wasn't gang related? This place is just lawless with everybody just living a normal life, unbelievable.

As far as I am concerned you enter a store a gun looking time in hand and say empty the register then you deserve what you get. Unfortunately in Canada the proprietor would have been charged with murder and likely jailed.

Looks like the public is getting sick of criminals robbing them and getting off with no or little repercussions. Business owners defending thiner property and actually having to resort to use of fire arms is definitely a big statement on how confident they feel in crime reducing in their area and how unsafe they feel.
