I would also like to add that if you print it out then it must be done on the correct paper size. You can call to verify, but I think it is LEGAL sheets and NOT letter size.
There are also now four locations for applications to be processed: Tobago, POS, San Fernando and Sangre Grande. How effective those other places are to get the new Trinidad & Tobago Passport I do not know.
50-plus calls, but still no passport
I read with total dismay the comments by the Deputy Chief Immigration Officer and wonder if I am living in an alternate universe. He is frustrated that passports are not being collected. However, I have been waiting for my daughter's passport for approximately two months, with no sign of when I will have it in my hands. Ref. Source 6

Comments: Recently, I attended a friend's wedding in Trinidad (I am a U.S. Citizen). At the reception, I met a guy (a friend of my friend's cousin) who expressed interest in me. We've talked a few times on the phone, and during one conversation, he mentioned that he would like to visit me in the U.S., but that he doesn't have a passport because in Trinidad, one is required to own property to get a passport, and he doesn't own property.
Well, this sounded a bit off to me, and I was a little embarrassed to ask my friend (the one whose wedding I attended), so I did some research. I can see where there are long waits to get passports and where you have to have recommendations, but I've read nothing about property requirements. Is this guy being dishonest? My concern is that the real reason he can't get a passport is because of a criminal record, but I haven't read any information about T&T passports being denied issuance for that reason. Can any one shed some light on this matter?
Thanks!
