Hourly Car Rentals

Hourly Car Rentals

To continue the market it seems that rental car companies are now offering Hourly Car Rentals. What do you think, would you rent a car just for a couple of hours?

As a general rule, no I wouldn't. But if I had the need I would. An example I can think of is if I am traveling and have a long layover. Instead of spending hours and hours in the boring airport, if there was something I wanted to see I would rent a car for a few hours between flights.

I see a need for this in business personnel who fly into a city to do some morning business and then flies to another city to do some afternoon business. A hourly rate on a rental car would save the company time and money. Right now this guy would have to rent two cars for a day at each city to drive them maybe a couple hours. That is a waste of a lot of money.

If I had not car I could see renting one for a bit to drive some where that is relatively close to visit or catch a play. I agree with Klar it would be more on a business aspect that they would do well.

This is an ideal situation as you do not have to worry over where to keep the car safe overnight. Once you are done, you are done and just return it.
