Pastor Rick Warren
Purpose-Driven Strife?
Pastor Rick Warren's hugely popular book on modern Christianity has become one of the most read in the world, selling over 60 million copies. It has also inspired a network of congregations around the country to adopt the contemporary music and worship style that is the hallmark of Pastor Rick's Saddleback Church in California. The famous pastor with the colorful Hawaiian shirts sees the growing network as a way to spread his Purpose-Driven Covenant, which values "Worship over wealth" and "People over possessions." But not everyone is thrilled with the outcome. "Nightline" co-anchor Martin Bashir sits down with Warren to talk about emerging dissent in the Purpose Driven movement.

I can't see how any harm is being done by Rick Warren, or why Martin Bashir has taken a disliking to what this Pastor is trying to convey.
If nothing else, at least the Pastor is trying to change peoples lives for the better.
After watching how Martin Bashir's British interview went with Michael Jackson, I can't say that I totally trust his conduct anyway, to say the least in that instance, he tried to sway the minds of those at home watching the programme to prejudice their thoughts.
At least with Rick Warren, people have a right to choose whether to believe in him, or become a member of his religion.
