Holly Introduction

I was searching the web looking for a site to help me help my children. We come from a family with the wonderful gift to see and sense the dead. We all grow up scared to death, but learn to live with it. We can not talk to them, but can get a sense of what kind of presense it is. Point is my children 4 and 3 years old, are seeing things and are scared. I would like to find someone to teach them to use their gift or to turn it off so they don't have to grow up scared like we all did. My sister has learned to turn hers off and is teaching her son who is 13 years old. I however never learned to turn it off. Maybe that is because a part of me don't want to. So that is who I am, a mother searching for help for her children.

Welcome. There seems to be a few gifted Members here, at least from reading their experiences. You may wish to read some of the Threads in the Mystics & Paranormal Board.

Basically there are two forces, Righteousness & Wickedness / Light & Darkness. In my youth I had several experiences with Spirits, etc. It is important to know who these "messengers" only serve God or Satan. 9 times out of ten a Spirit will not be a "Dead" person; but one who has not been born yet on this earth; or in the case of the evil spirits, one who has never, and will never receive a body.

If these Spirits are scaring your children, I would assume they are wicked. Wicked Spirits find it amusing to torment us; especially when children. Teach your children Faith in Jesus Christ; and that through his authority all things must obey. Next time they are scared by wicked spirits, have them Pray and ask our Heavenly Father for protection, and have them do this "in the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen"

If a wicked Spirit will not leave your children alone, teach them to cast it out, "In the Name of Jesus Christ, I command you to leave". The wicked Spirit then MUST comply.

When being attacked by a wicked spirit, you can become scared, and frightened to the point that you cannot speak. At this point, if you can just think the words "In the Name of Jesus Christ, I command you to leave" the Spirit will still have to leave.

Immediately after an attack by a wicked spirit, it is important to Pray and thank Heavenly Father for making it leave, ask for continued protection, etc.

I was annoyed by evil spirits usually at special times in my life. Before Baptism. Before becoming a Deacon, a teacher, and before becoming a Priest. When I received the Melchizedek Priesthood, and became an Elder, I also went to the Temple and received an Endowment of Power; after which time I have NEVER seen, or felt the presence of wicked Spirits... I am truly protected from them.

Childhood is an impressionable time. It is also the time most of us have the MOST FAITH in God. Teach your children to use this faith to protect themselves, and the Blessings of knowing that God helped them as children, will guide them throughout their lives.
