1 c Granulated sugar

2/3 c Packed brown sugar

2/3 c Margarine

2/3 c Butter

3 Eggs

2 ts Vanilla

3 1/2 c All-purpose flour; (3 1/2

-to 4) 1 1/2 ts Baking soda

6 oz Pecan pieces

18 oz Semi-sweet chocolate; in

-chunks Recipe by: St. Louis Post-Dispatch 5/27/96 Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat together sugar, brown sugar, margarine and butter until fluffy. Slowly beat in eggs and vanilla. Sift together flour and baking soda and mix in. Mix in pecans and chocolate until just blended. Scoop out roughly 3 tablespoons cookie dough and form into a ball (or use an ice cream scooper). Drop on cookie sheet and press down a little. Bake for 15 to 17 minutes. The food service department at the University of Colorado at Boulder.
