Is Cain Bigfoot? Studies Doctrine Mormon

I believe that when David W. Patten ran into Cain it was simply his spirit. |
If Cain was a spirit that appeared to Elder Patten, then how do you account for his appearance? He was covered with hair and as tall as Elder Patten when Elder Patten sat a horse.

Cain wasn't made immortal, he could still be killed and more then likely was. |
Hard to be sure about that. It is not to say that Cain was unable to be killed, but that he wouldn't be. The word "lest" ofGen. 4:15, is more like "not" in a literal translation. This word, per Gesenius" Hebrew lexicon #1115, means "lest" when following a command verb. Therefore, He wouldn't be killed because he ruled the wicked, and the righteous were commanded not to kill him.

Now I believe the account of the book of jasher to be truthful, rather than believing the Cain-Big Foot theory. |
Who said Cain was Bigfoot? There are sightings of multiple bigfeet, so unless Cain can have kids, its out.
I have another theory stated below.

a few verses later we read that Cain is married, has children and builds a city. The first city mentioned in the Bible. It is also the first civilization mentioned in the bible. So it is clear that he lived with people, and founded civilization or Babylon. Nothing is said of him living forever, or being hairy. |
And where was the city built? "...on the east of eden."
Where is Eden? Missouri. In 1971, a creature described as "half-ape, half-man," was spotted in north-eastern Missouri. Later three children saw it saying it was "six or seven feet tall, black and hairy."
Then it gets strange:
QUOTE |
Three evenings later, as the children's father Edgar Harrison and some friends stood talking outside the harrison home, they saw a 'fireball' come over nearby Marzolf Hill and apparently alight behind an abandoned schoolhouse across the street. Five minutes later another followed suit. Not long afterwards, a loud growl emanated from the hilltop and seemed to come down and toward the listeners, thought its source was not visible to them. The police investigated but found nothing. --Jerome Clarke, Unexplained, p. 268-269. |
He goes on to relate how balls of light exploded with stench. It was seen for weeks, reported as having both ape and human features. Some heard disembodied voices.
Such "haunting" phenomena suggest a spiritual nature, yet MOMO, as he has been dubbed, also stole and ate a peanut butter sandwich and left footprints.
Its the right territory. Right appearance. Behavior? Hmmmm.
