David Ritcheson hated being known as "that kid" -- the teenager who was beaten unconscious and sodomized with a plastic pole during a party where one of his assailants shouted "White Power!"

My goodness, poor kid. Even though he did not remember the abuse, he hated to be known as "that kid" and that the whole world knew the details of what he went through. He obviously could not handle it anymore. May he rest in peace.
