CHRYSLER RECALLS MORE THAN 8,000 NEW SUVS IN CANADA
Chrysler flagged more than 8,000 SUVs in Canada on Tuesday as part of a North American-wide recall to correct an engine stall problem that has caused one accident in the U.S.

Brake fault sparks Chrysler recall
Chrysler is recalling almost 600,000 minivans and Jeep Wranglers in the United States and another 100,000 elsewhere because of brake or wiring problems that could create safety issues, the company and US federal regulators said Monday. Ref. Source 7
Chrysler has agreed to recall 2.7 million Jeeps, ending a dispute with federal regulators.
Government safety officials say the Jeeps pose too great a risk of fire in a rear-end accident. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says there have been at least 37 accidents that caused fires and resulted in at least 51 deaths. Ref. CNN
