COMPANY REPORTS THEFT OF 2.3 MILLION CONSUMER RECORDS
An employee of a U.S. financial processing company has stolen 2.3 million consumer records containing credit card, bank account and other personal information, the company said Tuesday.

this seems to be the fastest rising crime, presumably because it can be so easily done.
It not only costs companies millions, but it also affects the individual persons credit rating, and can take a long time to get put right again. Some people think that this sort of crime doesn't hurt anybody, where as the truth is, that every person who becomes a victim to this type of crime gets hurt .
