Yes besides with getting more than one cutting with switch grass it is more efficient unlike corn where you only get one cutting per season. Switch grass can be cut in the spring again in the summer and in the fall too. This gives a much better return on the amount of ethanol that can be produced. Plus the left overs can be burnt to help heat the process if I remember correctly.

If I remember correctly Switchgrass is a better source of ethanol fuel than corn is. I would think that since we have ethanol plants already why not just use the switchgrass to make more ethanol. I can not see us getting a lot of fuel out of grass right now to make this all worth it.
