| 1 | teaspoon | baking soda | |
| 3/4 | teaspoon | salt | |
| 1/2 | teaspoon | cloves, ground | |
| 1/2 | teaspoon | nutmeg | |
| 1/2 | teaspoon | cinnamon | |
| 1/2 | cup | vegetable oil | |
| 1/2 | cup | water | |
| 1 | cup | mashed pumpkin | |
| 2 | each | eggs | |
| 1/2 | cup | nuts, optional | |
Directions: | |||
| Sift dry ingredients together. Stir in remaining ingredients. Pour batter into buttered and floured loaf pan. Bake 1 hour at 350. | |||
