Finding a Home for Homer
The rivalry between the towns is animated. The real life American Springfields have submitted videos trying to prove that they are the inspiration for the TV town with the dysfunctional power plant, a dysfunctional government and a few dysfunctional families.

Felipe has already expressed interest in seeing this, but I am hoping for a review first as I find some of the humor of the Simpsons can be too adult in nature. Anyone care to give a review?

D'OH-NUTS, DUFF BEER AT SPRINGFIELD, VT., DEBUT OF THE SIMPSONS MOVIE The Simpsons Movie, the first feature film about the dysfunctional cartoon family, got a warm welcome at the family's "hometown" of Springfield, Vt., where the movie premiered. It seems like the movie (for what I read) is aimed to teens and adults (as most Simpson's shows). This is what I found:

Contains mild innuendo, and a scene briefly depicting Bart's genitals as he skateboards naked across Springfield on account of a dare. The nudity is not presented in a sexual context. Contains mild animated violence. Contains mild language. (Profanity) Contains one brief depiction of drug use. |
REVIEW: 'THE SIMPSONS MOVIE' DELIVERS
After 18 years and 400 episodes of a show that refuses to grow old, "The Simpsons" finally graduates to a movie theater near you. It doesn't take Homer long (about two minutes) to ask the obvious question: What kind of sucker pays for something he can watch at home for free?

Thanks to Lisa Simpson, Lake Springfield is cleaned up from the pollution that once fouled it. But when Homer, who's adopted a pig (Spider-pig) and dumps a silo full of the pig's crap in the lake, the EPA places a large dome over Springfield, and the Simpsons family manage to escape through a sinkhole. The family flees to a better life in Alaska, but when the head of the EPA, Russ Cargill, orders the towns destruction, it's up to Homer to save Springfield!
