Lds Palm Resources

I recently purchased a Palm (hasn't arrived as yet) I am very excited about able to have my Scriptures, hymns and other Church-related books in my Palm. I have the following questions concerning software:

1. I know there are programs you can highlight verses of the Scriptures but what about making your own notes between verses?

2. What particular program do you use for your Scriptures and why you chose it?

I use a program just called "Reader". It was (and still is) available on lds.org. However, it is no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the Church has not seen fit to provide the LDS scriptures in a format used by any other reader.

I just checked all my readers:
"Reader" (from lds.org) has bookmark and annotation capability. However, it is not supported, and it is very limited in the types of files it will work with.

iSilo: basic bookmarks only

PalmReader: basic bookmarks only

MobiPocket: basic bookmarks only

Plucker: bookmarks only

Keep in mind that all of these are the free versions. The licensed versions have a lot more capabilities.

One last note. Plucker is the preferred program for Project Gutenberg, and includes a fairly easy interface for importing text and HTML files.

There are quite a few good Bible programs available, as well. Since I don't use any of them, I can't really comment on them.
