I am very suspicious of the United Nations. Not that I am against the nations being united, but I see no benefit in allowing a body of Nations that give Syria, Cuba, Lybia, and Saudi Arabia Seats on the Commission on Human Rights (That is a Joke).
This story is just another example of the moral bankruptcy found in the UN.

While it is shocking to read that the very people sent to help are actually the one's causing more harm. It brings out in the open how very relaxed this organization is terms of who they hire to send on these missions. As I understand it, these abuses were revealed after an official report was commissioned. Honestly the UN should be using VERY strict hiring procedures when they are sending out people in just sensitive situations.
Why is it shocking? Most times these 'peacekeepers' are made up of the same soldiers that committed the crimes that they are keeping the peace about.

Disgusting, sickening, disturbing! We need to realize that pedophiles are ALL over and they look for every single opportunity to be around kids hence they are usually teachers and people working for children's organizations, anything that can get them involved with kids. It is very disturbing that the standards and security the UN puts in place are poor.
