After Possibly Offending Hispanic Community

I find the t-shirt statement to be silly but offensive? Am I missing something here?

Do you mind to explain? I do not know if is an English-thing or I am too slow to get it.
The ONLY thing I can think of is "White" Americans being somehow offended because they do not consider Hispanics as "Whites" and Hispanics being offended to the idea that they may want to be/look "White". Is that it? If is that, I find the whole thing ridiculous. TOPIC: Macy's Drops T-shirt
