Hi Melanie, welcome. I will be more than happy to talk with you about children. I have a 7 years old boy who has special needs (PDD-NOS/ADHD). We have a parenting board as well as an ADHD/Austism board. If you hint me what is some of the problems you have, I can guide you to the correct board. Looking forward to the discussions.

I have a son that is 24 and married, he has had drug and alcohol problems for a long time, I have done everything in my power to help him and finally he has basically disassociated himself from our family. We have sent him to rehab and I am thinking maybe without our help he might learn faster, but he has almost died a couple times overdose of heroin etc. DUI. I feel I was a good mother and raised him right and I know the lord says he'll be back but I don't understand with free agency how this can work. Can anyone help me here?

Hi Melanie, I am so sorry to hear about your situation but keep strong and keep praying because the Lord is always there for you, you know that.

Keep in mind that the board I just linked you is not LDS, so the discussions you will see are all related to your concern but we do not discuss it in an LDS perspective.

Please check the link I gave you, and see if the threads there can help you with what you are going through. If you need specific advice, I would suggest you to open a new thread in that same board and share your concerns and members will be able to help you.
