Anyone take a certian form or martial arts? smile.gif karate, sword training and whatnot. I didnt put this under sports because i dont that Martial Arts are more of an all around educational program then just a sport.

If Ya do put down what you take talk about it and whatnot. :-P

I am sorry, but I am having a hard time understanding what you are saying, possibly you could use the spell checker and/or less slang? Having done martial arts I can tell you that there are several aspects to it... the greatest of which is sport in these times since we are not at war and do not use the art form as a main stream religion or spiritual awareness programme. Therefore it is moved to the Sports board.

Mostly mixed styles, but I did do Shotokhan Karate which is supposed to be Karate in its' purest form. I prefer mixed styles though because they give you the best of each art form to work with rather than being regimented to one style. I also did archaic weapon use which helps me a lot with the RPG scenarios wink.gif keep in mind though... I once did this... longgggg time ago. I am no pro and despite forming some groups and putting on some shows I never took it very far after my teen years (unfortunately).

All kinds, some of which were of my own make, yes, I used to love to make weapons and would often go the welding shop to make new additions. As for names... sword, nunchuks, claws, stars, chains, and natural objects (making something that is not considered a weapon like a weapon such as a straw, etc. Again, all those things are done with and not part of my current life style.

It was not a matter of materials, but design. You can take pieces of wood and metal and make great weapons so long as you plan it out.
