Melanie Brown filed a Superior Court petition Wednesday that seeks to legally establish Eddie Murphy as the father of her 4-month-old daughter.

I am very disappointed in Eddie Murphy's behaviour lately. First of all, he claims that he is not the father of Melanie Brown's child and now that the paternity test proves that he is the father, he still has not acknowledged Melanie's daughter. When Eddie Murphy was questioned by reporters about what he intended to do, if the test proved that he was the father, he responded: "I would do the right thing!" I wonder what he meant by that comment? So far, he has not acknowledged the child nor paid child support. Good thing Melanie Brown is not the kind of woman who is easily discouraged by Eddie Murphy's irresponsible behaviour. I am glad that she wants full custody of her daughter and I hope she succeeds with receiving child support from Eddie Murphy!

Actually Geenie, that's the interesting part. He says he did pay child support from the time he knows is his daughter, so one of them is lying.

Now this is an interesting development, according to the following report, Eddie Murphy's publicist is claiming that Eddie has acknowledged that he is the father and has already paid the child support as well as expenses from Melanie's pregnancy.

However, Melanie Brown (also known as Scary Spice) is taking Eddie Murphy to court to: legally establish that he is the father of her daughter; apply for sole custody of her daughter and also, for child support. Here is the link for this report:

LDS I strongly believe that Eddie Murphy is the not telling the truth. After all, this is the same man who emphatically denied that he was not the father of Melanie Brown's baby. Scary Spice has chosen Gloria Allred, a very high profile and successful attorney, to represent her in court. I cannot fathom why would Melanie Brown endure all this, if she was lying about Eddie not acknowledging her daughter. This would be a very interesting story to follow up.....

Oh yes, I agree with you. I think he is lying. His fiance has to be a dumbie to put up with such guy! I really feel sorry for the little girl who is innocent to all this.
