A police officer shooting at a snake apparently killed a 5-year-old boy who was fishing at a nearby pond, officials said.

What a horrible incident. I just do not understand how it happened. When a responsible adult have a firearm and intent to use it, they must ensure there are not people around who may end up hurt. Poor little boy.
