Hey, I get paid to write articles. So when do I get my check from you guys? |
For some reason, I can't find the God-power Amulet in the store. I have about 4 gold left. That ought to be enough, right?

Alrighty. So I "jumped in" to the RPG Medieval with 30 gold, and didn't realize at the time that I needed to purchase a bunch stuff that far exceeds that amount (like ... a horse and 7 days rations). So, I land myself in a clearing, am in the midst of a discussion with the rest of the party, and now realize that I made a mess of it.* (Sorry, but I'm not going to go begging.) In other words, short of donating US$ to purchase RPG gold, my character won't be able to keep up with the rest.
I've made an "out" by suggesting that I just go back to the village and, I suppose, disappear. But am not sure how to do that without messing up the Camp thread. (I'm thinking I just convince Daphene to let go of my neck (she's still holding onto it, I think) and walk back out of the clearing and let them continue as their party.
I'm supposing that next time a scenario comes around that doesn't require a lot more than what a beginning character comes in with (I.e., 30 gold) that I would join that one. (I suppose it would be possible to go around the village stealing gold from the really dumb, but that would suck up the GM's time, and that hardly seems right.)
Am I making sense? Any suggestions? And should all of this been put in the "camp" thread? I'm thinking not since that changes it into a conversation thread which the game master does not want. Plus, it would make for a huge OOC portion of the message.
Waiting for your advice (whomever you might be). (I might upgrade later which would get me that extra gold, but not just yet. My apologies there if that's a bother. I kind of like posting for now to the extent that I have been.)
*Candidly, had I known that I needed far more than the 30 gold we start with, I would not have even started the game. Didn't try to mess it up, but as I read the scout thread that requirement became very clear. And, hey, it is a very long scout thread (though entertaining to be sure).
