Please post a response to this, even if it's only "Go away!" so that I can post here in the future. Remember, I cannot double post, and that prevents me communicating with Admin via this thread unless someone always responds to each of my own posts.
I sense some frustration with my posts this morning. I'd like to make clear that before I posted anything, I first did do a search. (I really have read the FAQ and loads of other "instruction" threads, really I have.)
And I created a topic when I thought it had not been created.* The other I posted in the most relevant thread that I could find. I went straight into feedback. The response to my suggestions made it look like the administration of this place was fairly taken back by it (almost as though it were an insult). That surely wasn't my intent.
Also, I felt somewhat berated when I was advised that THIS is the place to have made my suggestion as to "International Discussions", as opposed to posting it in the Feedback portion of this place on an International Discussion feedback thread.
My hope is that admin can see that I really am TRYING to post as you desire. I am TRYING to bring useful/thoughtful items to this board. It is what attracted me here in the first place. And, yeah, I'm still confused that I am to post feedback on my introduction thread, as opposed to in the feedback forum. But, such as it is.
By the way, in RPG I am informed that we should advise the GM if we are unable to post for a period of time. We are supposed to post party orders every 24 hours (from what I've read). After a period of time, we will lose RPG status for failure to post. I don't want to lose that status because others are not posting. So how do I advise the GM that I am not idle, and merely waiting for others? Easier to advise up front, then beg for RPG status back after it's been taken away.
I have no info on how to contract the GM directly, other than perhaps posting on here (and hoping he sees it).
Ignore below if you don't really care about what the Hamas post was about
But regarding the deletion by Persephone of my article on a journalist's interview of Hamas, please see that it is an honest difference of opinion. Even after I found more Hamas threads, I still could not find one in which to post the news article that I referred to. The item is about a journalist's fears in interviewing Hamas while in Syria. It touches on several issues, but principally:
* journalist's real fears on interviewing someone targeted by Israel for death
* Syria's misrepresentation that it is harboring terrorists
In my read of all the threads that deal with Hamas, not one touches on these subjects. I could possibly insert it into "Terrorism around the world," but that seems so broad and doesn't really deal with the journalist's real fears in the course of his job. Anywho, obviously my mind and the admin's is not in sync in what is "off topic" or a duplicate topic. But I'm not intentionally skirting the rules (and, yeah, I have read the FAQ).
