Where do I get info on that?

See my Post above yours.

Keep in mind this Thread is just to cover any SCRIPTURAL reference to women being more spiritual than men, NOT whether women have any 'rights' over or equal to men - that is something different.

QUOTE
I guess that if we were all that special that we would also have the priesthood too." - JenLuvsMp3

As far as this thread goes, Spirituality has nothing to do with gender, holding certain callings, holding the priesthood, performing ordinances or having received the ordinances of the priesthood. We all know people who meet any one of these criteria who are far from having a close relationship with God or to the spiritual world. Their are no limits placed on any person, male or female, that block them from becoming spiritual, EXCEPT those limitations we place on ourselves.

The reason we are having this discussion today is largely due to a book called, "The witches Hammer". During about a 100 year period it was considered an essential companion to the bible and equal with the bible. Although you will likely agree it is the most evil book you have ever read, I would suggest reading it. (I never finished it.) What I found is that many of the beliefs about women being inferior to men spiritually came from this book. It says that women are more susceptible to being tempted than men and are more likely to make covenants with the devil. It teaches that women are less spiritual than men and explains why in great detail. As I read it I began to realize how much this book has influenced our society today. I began to understand what I needed to remove from my belief system. (Not that I was ever sexist or ever believed women are less spiritual, but that I realized that I had adopted other beliefs from society that stemmed from this book. That made it easy for me to change.) This book caused the deaths of thousands of women and hundreds of men and solidified the belief that women are inferior spiritually and should be considered second class citizens.

Joseph Smith combated the effects of this book and had a large part in bringing about the movement to make women equal with men. He allowed women to speak in church against the teachings of the bible, (1 Cor. 14:34-35), vote on leaders and other things which aided in freeing women from the confines of gender discrimination.
Now it seems that women are now being to be considered more spiritual than men. My point is that neither gender is more spiritual than the other by gender. It is up to each person to rise above the limitations placed on them from society, family, and beliefs. This is part of "overcoming all things".

There are so many myths and urban legends in the church and this rates high as one of them.

The view point of an Apostle, Elder Holland:

QUOTE
All I can offer at this point, I think, is the feeling that belief as I see it in my own wife, as I see it in my own mother and I see it in my daughters -- this is not to disparage men in any way -- but there is something more given to spirituality in most women than I think there is in most men. Please don't present that as a disparagement or some sort of reverse-sexism comment about men. I just believe that women are more inclined to things spiritual.

I don't know that that's documentable or if that's defensible. I don't know if you can get any data on it. But I know women. I'm married to one; I'm the son of one; I'm the father of some. ... I know there is something holy, if you let me use that word, about a woman's faith, about a woman's heart, about her spirit. And I am only wondering with you -- on record, but still wondering -- if somehow in the final equation of this, it was a way to account for the eternal possibilities and blessings and promises of all women, as well as all men, who qualify -- whatever it is to qualify -- for exaltation and eternal life and the promises of the future.

What he is saying is what we have been Discussing: opinion. There is nothing doctrinal to say that women are more inclined to spiritual. I agree women are more inclined to emotional which may give the appearance of spiritual.
