Blingo is an online search tool that is powered by Google, but with some cool features. For one, you can win prizes when you search, if you are by luck chosen at the time you perform your search. Also, I like that the search results have a little icon next to them which opens the results in a new window. With Google, I have to right click and select Open in a new window. I have Blingo.com set as my home page and I get all the benefits of Google, plus some more. Have you tried Blingo yet?
I checked it out, I did not register, but I guess the concept is good only because of the element of prizes that can be won. It seems to capitalize on emphasizing paid for sites first. Also the new window option is nifty, but not a big deal if you have a browser like Fire Fox.
I checked it out, got excited to discover that only people that live in the United States are able to win any of those nice prizes *sigh* I get so disappointed every time I go to a site and it says "US residents only" or "You must live in the United States". Oh well....
Malexander is just trying to tempt us to move to the US! I believe this is the reason why the site is not popular. The Search Engine 'Iwon' is not a big hit internationally for that same reason. Google itself is global and is known everywhere.
What I also like about Blingo is that you don't have to register to win prizes. There is a buddy system that you can sign up for to increase your chances of winning, but it is not required. Sorry about the 'US only' piece of it, but I'll take credit for subliminally trying to get JB and LDS_forever to move here
