As parents we need to take more responsibility about where and with whom our children are, sometimes I am absolutely shocked to see moms letting other people look after their kids with little or no prior research. I know that particularly for single parents this is an issue because they have no choice but to leave their kids with other people in order to work, etc.

Personally, in my household, we have strict rules concerning our kids. There is and will not be "sleeping overs" of any kind (going or coming). We constantly (and literally) watch over them in all places, including Church.

This is why some parents refuse to allow children to have contact with others based on past contact (no matter how far back). I have mixed feelings on this, but tend to agree due to the high incidence of repeat offenders.
