Court confirms closure of night-clubs offering youths cheap booze
Nuremberg/Munich. Night-club operators who encourage youths to drink themselves unconscious by selling alcohol at very low prices can expect to be shut down. That is the gist of a ruling by the Bavaria Administrative Court. The Court thus confirmed a lower-court ruling on the closure, by the City of Nuremberg, of a club that was repeatedly the scene of wild drinking and fighting. Following this latest ruling, the operator of the club has promised to stop selling alcoholic drinks for less than 1.50 euros. The club will now be permitted to reopen.
