The obvious proliferation of bad language in films and TV really is quite disturbing. My daughters (23 & 19) suggested I watch "Hot Fuzz" with them as it is "very funny". I said that even though the clips I have seen were very funny and I would have liked to see the film; I didn't want to be subject to the very bad language I have been told was in it!
It seems such a shame today that so many films are ruined by unnecessary profanity and obscenity. I know that money grabbing "lovie" film and TV producers are easy about using shock tactics to get their film a "cool" 15 rating. They calculatingly use verbal violence to get youngsters in to watch.
Films and TV do not reflect real life; we don't all work on a building site and so do not hear casual obscenity like this. Many people do swear casually but equally many people still have respect for others and use considerate language! I know it's the way the world is....but hey! 2 Tim 3:1-5
Thanks for listening
