Certain common artificial food colourings and additives are fuelling hyperactivity in children, a British study has found.

Further to this article, one of the big British tabloid newspapers has taken this campaign up to try to stamp out these food coloring additives from childrens drinks and foods. So far they have persuaded 3 of the major sweet and confectionary companies to switch to a more natural alternative. This can only be a good thing in my opinion.
I was reading how many different food types have these additives in, without people realizing, and it's frightening the affect that it is having on children that have had an intake of these coloring additives!
The campaign is ongoing, so I'm presuming that more companies will be shamed into acting soon.
These studies have been going on for a very long time. I DO notice a difference on behavior (even though slightly) when my son eats a not so healthy snack or something with food additives. It is a good idea to keep the kids out of all these processed and unhealthy foods!
