AMD has been beating Intel to the punch for years and this is no different. Problem comes in that Intel chips are historically more reliable than AMD. The evidence can be seen in that all major PC and Server companies are still going with Intel despite the fact that Intel has yet to put out a true 64 bit processor. Intel has also failed to sufficiently match AMD's floating point processor from the time of AMD's inception. Intel is still using multi-threading and now hyper-threading which is a sad attempt to counter true 64 bit processing. AMD is a better performing chip, but Intel is still more reliable, if that wasn't the case, companies would be migrating towards that faster cheaper chip as opposed to away.
