How can I start my own business and how long does it take to do that?

It depends on what kind of business you want to start, what country you live in, and how ready you are to start it.
If you think you're ready to do it, then you need to review the laws where you live that govern business.
Do you need a business license? Where do you get it, and how much does it cost?
Can you work from your home, or will you need a special permit, or will you need to rent a facility?
Will you need help, like workers or employees, to run your business? What are the laws regarding paying your employees, and paying payroll taxes?
Do you know how to keep accurate records, and what records you need to keep track of?
How does your government tax your business, and how will you pay it?
Do you need to take a loan from a bank to start your business? Will you be able to afford to pay it back? What if your business fails after a year?
Do you have a plan for running your business, and specific economic and success goals to meet at one year, five years, and ten years?
