Novels about 9/11 can't stack up to non-fiction
Six years after the twin towers fell, enough non-fiction has been published about Sept. 11, 2001, to fill an entire section of a bookstore: 1,036 titles, according to Books in Print. But novels inspired by 9/11 could fit on one shelf. There are only about 30, and none has seized the public imagination.

In my opinion about 50 percent of the so called non-fiction books about 9/11 should be on the Fiction Shelf.
That being said, I am not sure America is ready to read non fiction books about an event that makes us so angry. The true stories of people burning and dying in the building, the cowardice of the people who did this and the heroism of everyday Citizens is drama enough. Fiction could not do this story justice.
