"Meals Rejected by Everyone" is a popular nickname for MREs, which stands for Meals Ready to Eat, those brownish polymer pouches filled with precooked food and snacks.

Too bad the article didn't mention that you can make a fun harmless little bomb with a MRE. Ah, memories.

A real bomb, it just makes a load bang but doesn't hut anyone.

A bomb that does not hurt anyone is no bomb at all not so? Unless it explodes after eating it?

I have ate boxes of those Combat Food packages before and actually enjoyed it - yes weird - however when you are camping most things taste good. I also like that they include a candy bar of some type.

Ok, this is what an MRE bomb is. You take the heating element of the MRE (it's in a cardboard box) and place it in a dry water bottle. You then add water to the bottle and seal it. The water heats up and the bottle expands, eventually exploding.

Sounds like our military personnel have a little too much time on their hands to be experimenting with blowing up water bottles?
