I am out checking the fence line presently. Your the one at the door. I think you as a lady presents less danger to them thus they opened the door to you. Now you have to get information as to what they need as the others are still checking the fence line and to check if they will allow us to assist them and not be as scared of us when we return form our present mission.
The choice is yours since we men folk set to wandering. I would not think we would be gone more then a few minutes 20 at most. So you could ask him to chat on the porch till we return. Since he already knows why we are there it should be fine. You might to introduce yourself and us by name.
Please do post what you would like to say and I will post it. Might be good to ask where he would like to hitch the horses for now. After all you still hold the reins.
I am betting this man has heard little or nothing of any of us so reputation might be little meaning but a friendly face all.
IC: Daphne smiles in a friendly manner to the old man who invited her in, without going inside, she says: "Good afternoon sir, my name is Daphne. My friends and I heard you was in need of help with your sheep. We heard there may be wolves or other creatures taking your sheep during the night and we are here to help you to find out what is causing this big distress. We are honest people and we mean well. So could you tell us exactly what is happening with your sheep?"
OOC: Feel free to add anything you may think is important.
OOC: That sounds good to me. Hopefully we will get more of the story now. Oh also ask him what repairs we can help him with too. This should help us because he or his daughter will tell others that we helped do some repairs while helping with the problem. This should help our reputation a lot. Shows we are willing to get our hands dirty in more ways than one.

Ok I think she should go on in. Tell the old man that her companions will be returning soon from inspecting the out buildings and fence lines. Will they be welcome in your home too? She should tie her horse at the front porch/rail/column which ever is present.
OOC: I think we need to gather at the house since no information was forth coming about any fence needing repairs. We can all go in the house and see what he needs help with.
