by the looks of things you are not into milking a cow either. I think we best be getting the chores done so we can see to the start of tonights activities with wolves. At least now we can get the story of what has transpired with these three while we were discussing things with the farmer.
Well we are pullin together now at least.
Since it be so close to dark I am thinking that we be best to hit the roof stay safe see what we can.
Sound of things it gets dark quick and I am not betting we be blessed with a full moon. So my quesion is if we post two on the roof and rotate the shift Do you really think we will see anything or just end up with a rucus below and some dead sheep?
A pack is what maybe 10 wolves. The hunting pack 5to6 ? So we need to protect the sheep tonight and track the wolf in the am. Why not put the sheep in the barn 100 yrds away. Stow one man on the barn roof and one on the house roof, they will smell the sheep in the barn and go circling it might make some nice targets and we could get lucky in the old pen. Just think we have to save face by not losing any sheep on our watch.
Be nice to know how many are there...Kalfie should asked duh. We could post a fire by the pens since I am sure they are coming from the south (forest). Might also be best just to post both on the barn.
actually that is a good idea of placing them in the barn if it will hold them. Then place a small fire in the center of the pen that will allow us some light to see the wolves and be able to take some shots at them. IF they are wolves we do not have to worry about them attacking our archers. IF it is something else we can have one of the others ready to defend the archer.
I have the impression they are not wolves but some sort of beasts that are not easily killed. Maybe a medieval version of the "chupacabra". I agree with all the great ideas posted so far. I also think we should not accept any payment but ensure we do a great job and get the poor man talk about us in a positive light so we can improve our reputation.
