Beowolf the map is described in detail in the gm's thread. The barn is 100 ft away hard shot at night thus why one might be better in the loft or roof.
As far as the pen goes I would guess the same. So at night it is a hard shot at best thus why I was hoping we could defend the barn.
SO I propose this then.

Beowolf and Daphne both inform the farmer they to will defer payment and just whish to help save the farm.
We also ask the old man for his aid in this task as time is short.
Kalfie, Daphne, Klar and they try to get Beowolf to follow them. They head out and make suitable fire pits and stock them with fuel to burn for many hours. One pit located on the south side of the sheep pen to try and light the area for archers to kill what may approach. Placed such that they will not harm the existing fence but give light to the area.
Back to the east side of the chicken and pig pens a second fire done in the same manner.
On the north side two more are built around the barn where the sheep will be herded into by the old man for the nights events. The fires here will be on the north west corner of the barn and east north corner.
If the barn has a loft with windows or opening facing different directions they will be used to keep one archer looking out by the barn.
A second archer will be placed on the house roof. We will ask the farmer and daughter to help with this by being awake inside to rouse those sleeping if an attack occurs during the night. Sleep shifts will be 4 hour durations. We will ensure Beowolf is out side when Sophia is on watch inside.

I think this cover most of what I read here so will post.
What about the surroundings like if the farm is near a forest or something the the wolves can hide there and make their attack easily cause remeber theyre attacking at night and the fires only give us away not them.
Beowolf we are not trying to kill them in the dark just keep the sheep alive. We can track them down to their den and burn them out later. You feel brave enough to step into a horde of large wolves with a simple sword and no metal britches be my guest. Me I like hunting in full light see whats coming.
If they been feeding here for a week or so they have that den close enough for us to track in short order. The we can climb up and tag then out or smoke them out. Haste will kill us here.
Now as for this here barn I think we are in real good shape. We got good view of whole farm I think we post Two here one sleeps one on look out. Just be sure to stay up as those darn sheep get right fidgety when the wolves start prancing about.
Now I am thinking two bows in the barn be best and one in the house. Only fear I see is Beowolf is the one with out a bow. Do we trust him in the house with miss Sophie? Or will he be too distracted?
Also lets get inside fer dinner please!
