Now that they are no longer howling means they may be a little wary of the fires or they prefer to cause fear in their prey before shutting up and coming the rest of the way silent. This is the time we need to stay alert and be ready for them to close.
I think the three of us can bring one of the creatures down if they actually show up. Having ranged weapons we can pick one or two and hopefully bring it down so we have something to examine once the attack is over. If it is a wolf we can use the pelt as goods for trade.
Looks like she put me out on the door step for the night. Well we were successful in keeping the wolves away but maybe we should look around the farm to see if there was any activity during the night that we did not know about. What will we do for the next night since the old man doesn't like the smoke?
Now that daylight is approaching we can get ready to see if they can be tracked. IF we can find where they are coming from we can take methods to trap or kill them without them getting any more sheep. Thus we may not have to start any more fires. Kalfie should go and see what he finds while it is daylight. We can see if there is a place to make some traps like a deadfall with steaks at the bottom. IF we can kill one or two of them they may go elsewhere to get a meal.
OOC: You should be glad you did not warm her bed and get yourself in more hot water.
