As we head south it is plains with a spattering of trees. I do not know if a den may exists in these tufts. The very possibly could be in the mountains them selves to the north of Death Mouths pass, this we do not wish to get to near. We may come across heavily armed soldiers of the king. No fear of them though.
So I think we ride east and west and zig zag south for a bit to see if we can pick up a track or sign of their passage. The farmer is happy about no losses so if we find nothing we defend again then help make repairs so that he and his daughter can manage the farm again. After all if one pack leaves a second will come.
Daphne what do you think?
OOC: I think Kalfie is losing patience with Beowolf. Daphne will try to calm him down before we reach the village. She will give him a strong warning if necessary and will talk to Beowolf about his non-sense talk about Sophia.
Ok we know the wolves come from the south. If we space ourselves out a bit we can cover more ground. Let Kalfie walk in the center as he tracks the wolves. Beowulf can guard him with his sword and Daphne and I ride a horse arrows nocked of to each side. Kalfie can do a zig zag search pattern while Daphne and I both look for more obvious signs of passage plus on horse we can move to either flank if we come across something and we need to make a stand.
OOC: KN, keep in mind that Kalfie and Beowolf have the lowest soul and according to the story if we do not do something about it, they will start fighting physically, so I am not sure if is a good idea to leave them by themselves.
We can have me walk with kalfie as he tracks. Since the tracks seem to disappear I would be interested in seeing what the fresh tracks around the farm look like since the ground was soft from the rain. We may be looking for some shape shifters. The rain would have softened the ground. Look around the pits to see if any blood has spilled leading away? There has to be a track that Kalfie can follow that is fresh if we have not obscurred them.
