*grins* Been busy gathering pebbles to flick at you Beowolf. biggrin.gif

We found nothing in the traps to start. So no real signs would be there rain would have messed up a lot of the track though I would think some be fresher father out. We might just be stuck with trying to kill in evening. Not great but we can try if this fails.

If they get no free food in a week they should stop coming up any how.

So I will walk Klar can take my horse and Beowulf can walk but we shall do so 100 ft apart let the winning boy be unheard. If heads towards the farm fire an arrow his way and remind him Sophia asked him to do this and that she will be there when we return.

The group not having much luck and being so close to town decide to eat some dry rations and then continue the search for a sign. Kalfie will reassure Beowolf that Sophie will be very pleased if he concentrates his efforts on this search. In fact he bets She will be excited if he returns with news that they could not locate any fresh tracts also. As it means the wolves are not camping near the farm but are ranging for easier meals.

Klafie will take the west side of the group on foot then Daphne 50 ft east on horse, Beowolf 50ft east of her and Klar on Horse 50 ft east of him. They will change their angle to as to penetrate more south then before. Keeping in mind the point at which Scout showed them to as being relatively safe. This will continue for a few more hours till 3:00 pm when they will return to the farm to ensure they are rested and prepared for the night.

Do we wish to enter town and seek any information there on movement of wolves deeper south?

I think we need to keping looking for signs of the pack. If we range farther today and do not find anything then tomorrow maybe try ranging to the west or the east to see if we can come across their tracks. Maybe they are circling the village and coming back in from the south but are actually holed up north eat or north west of the village proper. At 3pm go back to the farm and see what inprovements we can do to the barn. Also see about adding a couple more snares for wolves and maybe a new pit? Especially a snare where Daphne saw the eyes looking at her.

If we wait out there more it will get dark and then we might be facing wolves on our own. At least if we get to the bar and then to the farm we should be back before dark.

Daphne what do you think?

So we head west in zig zag pattern circle the town and see if the wolf are just circling about, and two could head to town. That would mean Klar and Beowolf as they have better reputation. would leave just Beowolf but me thinks he would wander back to the farm and two cover faster. What of gold for information? We head west say .5 hour ride loop town meet back at original drop off. Should finish the day. Plus Klar and Beowolf could head back to the farm once they have questioned all they can and complete the chores Klar had mentioned. IE new pits.

Been thinking make the pit close to the Barn 30 feet dia with a island in middle of 5 feet . tie an old ewe up there pour blood form any rabbits found on the cover and see if they will try to take bait. Be darn sure we double rope that ewe though. It should make lots of noise and smell nice for the wolves to eat.

Round town out to farm now more then 2 hours you be there 2 PM ish hole dug before dinner. Trip around town 3 hour max so rest of party will help with any required chores.

I think it all sounds good but the island mode of a pit can make it dangerous. We would have to make sure it is placed in such a way that two archers can fire at anything attempting the ewe with a cross fire of arrows. I think it can be pulled off and as long as we are shooting down towards the wolves the archers should be safe. But having you and Beowulf at the ready to use swords might be a plus.

All this digging we are like looking for gold. Why cant we just attack the wolves? If its like six of them and we are all warriors and have two attacks then we should be able to do this easily. Wheres Daphnie, haven't seen her here for awhile.
