That is just it. They have not come around just last night that we know of. THe night before Daphne saw at least one of them. The night before that no sheep were attacked. That is three nights and no food for wolfie. Now they will be getting hungry ranging back and forth from their lair. We need to find that lair and put a end to them. Or put a end to whatever is attack the sheep. Repairing the fences and barn is helping protect his sheep too. If we help him get repairs done and eliminate the wolves or what ever is attacking we will look good in the community.
OK We have protected his sheep and the wolves know they are not getting a easy meal anymore. Will it be enough to keep them away? We have made repairs on the farm so it is more secure. I think we stay one more night to see what happens. Have one person watch from the house and the others in the barn with the bait like before to see if the wolves are even approaching the farm anymore. If we do not get any wolves coming around tonight then we need to go hunt a pack of wolves. Besides the time spent away from Sophia can do Beowulf a world of good.
Well I guess good news the wolfies just might be smarter then we thought. Klar hats off to ye wisdom. So we make rabbit rolls eat um supper then One more night we continue and perhaps next day fill up some holes.
Post
Rabbit roll No Rabbits were caught.
Klar shares his thoughts with the farmer as well and the group decided to repeat the prior nights strategies of tying the sheep in the half moon pit with Beowolf on Guard, while the trio keep watch. Daphne in the house, klar and kalfie in the barn.
Once it is felt the wolves will not approach this night all will rest the night in the barn.
Come morning and the rabbit snares are to be removed as with the wolf snares. The two outer pits are covered back in leaving just the one by the barn. The group will then sit with the farmer and discuss where to proceed, both with the wolfs and the repairs.
The group will reaffirm with the farmer that he needs to upkeep the repairs but most important to ensure the stock is put in the barn at night. Kalfie will also ensure that the farmer knows the hot meals have been greatly appreciated by all and that the hardship of doing so is not unappreciated.
On this morning Kalfie takes Beowolf aside and asks, "Beowolf what be ye intentions with the lass Saphia? Have ye thought of a bonding? If not best to put thought in how you will leave her behind." After which he smiles.
End post
