Gunmen attacked a bus in Karachi on Wednesday, killing more than 40 people, Pakistani authorities said.
The bus was carrying men, women and children from the Ismaili Muslim community, said Ahmed Chinoy, chairman of the Citizen Police Liaison Committee in Karachi.
Members of Ismailism, a Shiite sect, often face apostasy and blasphemy charges, and are often the victims of persecution.
Karachi, in Pakistan's Sindh province, is the country's largest and most populous city. Ref. CNN

They have been saying that a long time now. Pakistan basically had a military government for a long time. It seems many have been paid off to keep silent.
