Comments: I would first like to point out that your answers here are offered as oversimplifications and superficial readings of the biblical texts. As a graduate student of Christian theology and the Bible I would like to state that the Greek used to discuss GLBT issues in the Pauline epistles is extremely complicated, and in some cases, translators are completely unsure of the meaning. An example of this is the word you all are reading as "homosexual" in your translations. In Greek the term being used here, at least in the case of 1 Corinthians and Timothy is aresenokoites. There is no other evidence in the Bible or other Greek literature of this word being used, and scholars believed that for this reason it is a phrase that Paul "coined".
Furthermore, because it is given in a long list of words it is hard to use context to analyze its meaning in the New Testament, and since it is not found in any other literature, there are no other context clues either. Arsen means man and koites means bed, so some scholars have presumptuously and arrogantly claimed that this must mean men having sex with each other. In reality, it is just as likely or perhaps even more likely that this word refers to mean exploiting women (and perhaps men both) for sex as rape and sex crimes were acts of power in the ancient world and were common problems. This is further evidenced by the fact that there was a common word used to describe the act of homosexual sex which normally took place between an older man and a young boy, and this word was from which we get the word pederasty. This word was widely used and would have been widely understood as this practice was flagrant in the ancient Greco-Roman world, so if Paul meant to talk about homosexuality why wouldn't he simply use this commonly understood word rather than coin one himself?
As far as transgenderism, then, it is important to remember that the ancient constructions and understandings of the body and gender roles were not what they are in our modern society. In that time the body was not understood medically, but was explained with spiritual dimensions, now that we have modern science, we no longer need to think of the body in this way. To take Paul's view of the body as fact is comparable to taking the advice of medieval physicians that insisted on "bleeding" people to cure the bubonic plague. See: Source 6 Gender roles were emphasized according to cultural needs of the time for to keep the society functioning. It is also important to remember that these letters were written to address certain congregations about certain specific issues, they are not general statements, and Paul himself openly references other letters he has written to these communities, letters that have been lost to time. Perhaps these other letters would better explain the situations and offer more context.
So I simply ask, please inform yourselves before making judgmental, hurtful statements that affect an entire group of people.

Comments: Ridiculous, Old testament law does not count anymore.
And God will especially not condemn transexuals, who have been through enough trouble as it is, by saying they have to be celibate.
God desires mercy, not sacrifice.

Comments: I am a transsexual woman. We transsexuals [have] been told we are [going] against god the way he made us if we are [going] against what he had say so why would he let us fell his love? So I don't [believe we transsexual are wrong case he love us all being what we are I know that god love us all and god say he looks on the inside of a person not the out side. The Bible does not say anything about transsexual that I could find I believe in god a lot I don't believe that god will judge us transsexual woman that not the way god would do we art what he made us just the way he did and that is what we are we all a part of god and know what we do to are self's if god condemn us case we are difference that would be gone against his word that would be wrong for him to do I believe in what I know in god eyes all I can say is is between us and god.

Comments: There are specific verses in the bible that state that a woman cannot look or pretend to be a man and vice versa. Our pastor quoted them but I don't have the references handy at the moment, sorry.

Title: Transsexual & Bible
Comments: My comment is about JoePublics statement. I whole heartedly disagree with you. People are not homosexual because of peer pressure or try it situation. I have my own experience. Never did I get the "try it" or peer pressure and I don't consider myself homosexual but my father knew I was different. I was born 46xx that is the DNA of a female but I have male genitalia. When I became a teenager I grew breasts. No peer pressure there. Nothing was done about it. Technology hadn't researched it completely yet. When I was 25 and released from the military honorably, the military removed the breasts (Breast Reduction Surgery) for me but on the inside I still have female DNA. Born sterile and my body does not produce enough testosterone to make me "normal" like the other males. At age 65 I found out about my DNA and what it really means. Yes I like girls but I'm not afraid of men. I do not have an interest in [..] but I have feelings inside me that they could not remove when they removed my breasts. I am not happy about this finding but I am stuck with it like it or not. It is not my conscience decision to be this way. This is a malfunction of the chromosomes to make a male or female. The testicles were not fully formed (sterile) and my sex life was absolutely pathetic. I married twice with females and that was the only [..] that I had successfully. I am not the subject of try it or any other theory you may have; I am the way God made me whether you like it or not. I have female DNA and male genitalia on the outside. I also have documented proof from qualified doctors from UCLA and the Veterans Administration in Wilshire California. Approximately 1 in 20,000 individuals with a male appearance have 46, XX testicular disorder. Affected people typically have no history of the disorder in their family. According to research at the University of Oklahoma health science centers, most XX males are not stereotypically feminine and are typical boys and men although other reports suggest that facial hair growth is usually poor and libido is diminished, with notable exceptions.

Title: Transgender & Bible
Comments: Read Romans 1:18-29
This is regarding transsexuals and transgender. The issue is not whether or not God loves the individual, God loves all, but humans have tried to sin, and sin and not expect any consequences. All have sinned, and fall short of "real living"' but it is up to the transgender person to reconcile themselves to God who created male and female. Just like the liar, adulterer, thief, murderer, nd any and all sins.
