Comments: Hi,Which Political Ideal should we follow? Good question...Answer?...REPUBLICAN! WHY?..WHEW! Ok, Here goes, Bear with me some...I'll try to make it short and to the point...Firstly, See Democrats and Republicans as in a Civil War as a War between the North and the South, or The Blue and the Grey or Good and Evil..Politics has Changed since the good old days. To simplify things to perspective, If You believe in Good things for America Decent clean livng wholesome lifestyle, kind of like in the forties or even till the late fifties early sixties era,Where we all believed in God and Country and God bless America and In God we Trust?..Well, what has happened is All these good people has joined the "REPULICAN PARTY"..... and All the SAME SEX MARRIAGE, ABORTION RIGHTS, ANTI-GOD,ANTI-COUNTRY, ANTI-RELIGON, GAY RIGHTS, LIBERAL THINKERS,ANTI-PRAYER IN SCHOOL, ANTI-GOD IN PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE,ANTI-CROSS, ANTI-NATIVITY, ETC,ETC. ON AND ON, HAS JOINED THE " DEMOCRATIC PARTY" WHY? Because by Joining the DEMOCRATIC PARTY, They will make what They Believe in become a "LAW" by the use of the Courts and force "US" to abide in their "LIFE STYLE"...So then, it becomes a real "WAR BETWEEN GOOD AND EVIL" THE REPUBLICANS AGAINST THE DEMOCRATS...NORTH AND THE SOUTH, A REAL WAR....Another thing...We must all "VOTE" Each vote is like one bullet to shoot don't throw it away! It will make a difference, Every Vote (bullet) counts...There You have it..in a Nut Shell....Don't believe what I say, Check and See if what I'm say is True or Not!......Helper

What is this with the Golden Age of America in the 1940s and 1950s people go on about? It wasn't so golden really if you look at it. A time of war, a lack of Women's rights; racial segregation in the Deep South and the horrible everyday consequences of that; the dropping of Nuclear weapons on Hiroshima and Nagasaki and the McCarthy led witch hunt of "Communist sympathisers"-I.e. anyone who didn't absolutely agree with the societial views of the time. I see no reason to return to that.

In my opinion, the Bible is an ancient set of documents that should have no bearing on the modern election of the most powerful nation on the Earth. But as Americans seem unable to keep religion out of their politics the only thing we can say is that whatever interpretation an individual American has will guide them in their choice of voting Republican or Democrat-because the Bible itself doesn't say "vote Republican" or "vote Democrat".

As far as I can tell, the Democratic party is not the anti-religious one you suggest either. Barrack Obama wrote a whole paper about how Democrats can better synergise their religious beliefs with their political actions.

From what I see, the Democrats support freedom to choose and the Republicans forced allegiance and I think I would prefer freedom to choose. If you're looking to the Bible for inspiration, perhaps you should consider that fact that Jesus was a revolutionary figure who inspired the poor and the dis-empowered to go against the social, political and religious doctrines of his day. He was killed by the wealthy, powerful elites of his time. A support for the Republican party is surely a vote for the powerful, wealthy elites of America and the continued suppression of the rights of the dis-empowered? Isn't that against the teachings of Jesus?

I believe if we are referring to the Bible, that you should follow none of these parties as neither of them will bring you closer to God. If you are asking if one of the parties has better morals than another party, then I think we are in for a long argument on both sides which will end up showing some of the less desirable examples of each party, so neither of them hold the mantle for morality.

Neither party is more for choice than the other...although, you will get different choices with each party. When I read the Bible, I am not seeing a whole lotta choices lined out...it certainly does not come across as a multiple choice to salvation quiz with all correct answers.

Actually, I would expect if Dante' was correct, we will find a great many of our leaders in various levels of purgatory.

Comments: Hi Guys, Ok, You have a right to your opinion, but keep what I have said in mind and see if what I have said is True. Every time you see or hear a National controversy of some kind in the News, ask yourself What party do they belong to? Then you'll see.

Christians Can't Sit This Election Out, Most Important in History

Who says Republicans and Democrats can't agree? Every four years, politicos and pundits, both left and right, come together in a harmonious hymn of hyperbole: "This is the most important election in history!" they sing. Ref. Source 3
