Trinidad Memories School

It's so strange. I recently went back to my old primary school, what was strange was the HUGE schoolyard that I remember was sooooo small that I could not believe it to be the same place.
I go back to my former high school on a fairly regular basis and the same applies. It's funny to be able to walk in areas formerly of limits.
Memories were of playing games, cricket, running, jumping over elastic, red rover, hop scotch, moral, jacks, ring games etc. During recess, children PLAYED.
Then there were the snacks. We did not eat snacks packaged with preservatives in plastic or foil packs, but we ate red mango, mango chow, chili bibi (in the brown cone), paradise plums, guava flavoured lollypops (those red one with a short stick almost like a match stick), tambran balls, salt and sweet, tambran stew all sold in brown paper from the lady in the yard.

Oh, and we did not have gadgets. Plus, people wore shoes that did not have to have brand names. I can go on but won't.
