What a wonderful story! This dog is not pregnant neither has puppies but begun producing milk when she heard the little kitten crying and she adopted the cat right away. Such a sweet story!

| Honey hadn't given birth in 18 months, but found herself playing mom after her owner, Jimmy Martin, brought home the kitten. Martin noticed the kitten, whom the family dubbed "Precious," about six weeks ago, when she ran in front of his concrete truck. He took her home after following her and realizing there was no mother cat in sight. The kitten refused to drink from a bottle, and Jimmy's family feared Precious would die. Eventually, the family let Honey approach Precious, and the dog immediately took to her and began nursing the kitten. The Martins said they told a veterinarian about Honey and Precious, and learned that interspecies nursing does happen on rare occasion. Martin's wife Kathy says the kitten "thinks she's a dog." |
