Mormon Bitterness
What would make a Member of the Church bitter? I have read many rants of Members online (not here) who are very bitter towards Doctrine and the Discussion of Doctrine. They find themselves attacking people, making false claims and trying to get others to believe what they are saying just as the subtle one would. What causes Mormon Bitterness?
I think the number one reason is Jealousy because of success and anger that comes out of rejection. I have read many rants of members who have been deleted of this forum (as an example) for breaking the rules and policies as well as for deceiving and lying. They leave and years after they try to post lies in other sites and make people believe them. It is sad because they cannot find peace within themselves.
I see it alot when I happen to pass through an anti site. Thats one of the reasons I like to come here, everyone is so postive about the gospel without fighting and name calling.

In my opinion people become bitter toward the church to mask their feelings of inadequacy. When a person leaves the church, for whatever reason, it is pretty much impossible to cast aside the guilty feeling that we associate with sin. To make themselves feel better about the sin they question if it really is a sin, and they question every aspect of the church that told them it was a sin.
I believe they become bitter toward the church because they want it to be a lie so that they can feel better about living however they want.
Also comes to my mind members who get upset/angry with you because you are trying to live the Gospel (you are accused of being too "mormony") and if by chance you happen to quite a scripture in class about a topic that really bothers them, they are quick to attack you personally or get offended.
