The legal minimum age at which tobacco can be bought in England, Scotland and Wales goes up to 18.

Unfortunately, most people in the Uk are still unaware of this! There has been very, very little advertising regarding the changes. Compared to July 1st when smoking in public places and the work place became illegal, then, you couldn't open up a newspaper or switch on the television without it being forced down your neck!
(no pun intended)
There was a huge operation of undercover teams went out yesterday to question shops and cigarette suppliers on the new change in law--the response received was "what new change in the law?"
It pretty much sums it up for me.
