The arrest followed several weeks of Internet conversations between the prosecutor and a detective posing as the mother of a 5-year-old girl, authorities say. The prosecutor is charged with using interstate communication to entice a minor to have sexual contact and with traveling across state lines with the intent of engaging in illicit sexual contact. The charges carry a possible sentence of up to 30 years in prison. Atchison, of Gulf Breeze, Fla., was arrested Sunday at Detroit Metropolitan Airport as part of an undercover sting operation by the Macomb Area Computer Enforcement Team. "There wasn't much reaction from him at all," said Macomb County Sheriff Mark Hackel, whose department runs the team. He said Atchison was cooperative with authorities. What an evil, evil, monster! I am shocked to see also that he only faces 30 years in prison! wicked predators like this should face the death penalty as far as I'm concerned.
It makes you wonder also, how many 'real' parents there are out there who would parade their children as available for sex on the internet. It sounds as though there are plenty out there unfortunately. If this is the case, they should also face the same penalty as the perpetrator!

He knew a harsh sentence was coming so he killed himself. Now I wonder whether this guy was on suicide watch or not (seems like he wasn't) even though he tried to hang himself last month.

I'm sorry if that sounds harsh to some people, but my main thoughts are with the damaged children that people like him devastate the lives of.
I feel no sympathy whatsoever for this man, only for his family who had played no part to his seedy lifestyle!
